3L, 5L, What the L? A NICE conundrum

20 May 2018 - For many years, NICE has recommended use of the EQ-5D-3L and its value set for the UK. 

Since 2011, an expanded-level instrument, the EQ-5D-5L, has been available and value sets now exist to support its use, including a value set for England. 

This poses a challenge for NICE. Should it recommend the EQ-5D-5L rather than the EQ-5D-3L?
