Agenda for the July 2019 PBAC meeting
1 May 2019 - The agenda for the July 2019 PBAC meeting is now available.
The PBAC is due to consider 57 submissions (32 major, 25 minor) at its next scheduled meeting in July.
50 of the 55 submissions are for a PBS medicine, 5 are for a PBS medicinal preparation and two are for an NIPP vaccine.
39 (68%) of the 57 submissions are initial submissions. The PBAC will consider a fourth submission to list sodium phenylbutyrate (Pheburane) on the PBS and several other medicines for the third time.
12 (21%) of the 57 submissions are for a new medicine and 23 (40%) are for new indication. Two submissions are for a new biosimilar medicine (trastuzumab).
16 (28%) of the 57 submissions are for oncology medicines.
Amgen is the most active applicant this meeting with four submissions.
