AstraZeneca, Pfizer hope to meet vaccine supply dates despite ‘fluid’ Europe situation

28 January 2021 - Pfizer and AstraZeneca warn global supply chain issues and the European Union’s plan to add control measures on exports throw uncertainty onto the timing of vaccine deliveries to Australia.

Health Department secretary Professor Brendan Murphy told a Senate select COVID-19 committee hearing on Thursday the initial target of 4 million vaccinations by the end of March was extended into April due to those supply chain concerns.
