Australia ‘on track’ for coronavirus vaccines despite global shortages

24 January 2021 - Josh Frydenberg has insisted that Australia’s vaccine rollout is still on track, despite tensions heating up over shortages in Europe.

As it stands, Australia has purchased 10 million doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, with the Therapeutic Goods Administration due to approve the jabs in the coming weeks.

Despite several European countries complaining that their orders have fallen short due to production delays, Mr Frydenberg said that he is confident Australia will not experience the same issue.
