Bayer Korea's Eylea pre-filled syringe 8 mg to receive health insurance coverage
30 December 2025 - Bayer Korea announced that its Eylea pre-filled syringe 8 mg will be covered by health insurance starting 1 January 2026.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare notice, coverage applies to patients with submacular choroidal neovascularization caused by age-related macular degeneration.
It also covers diabetic macular oedema patients who meet specific criteria, including haemoglobin A1c levels of 10% or less and a central retinal thickness of at least 300 µm.
