14 October 2022 - President Joe Biden plans to sign an executive order asking HHS to explore new ways to lower drug costs, according to the White House.

HHS will use its Innovation Center, created under the Affordable Care Act, to work toward lower drug prices. The White House highlighted the center’s authority to try new ways of paying for Medicare services.
