Bristol Myers Squibb announces Opdivo (nivolumab) in combination with AVD receives expanded EU label with approval in frontline advanced classical Hodgkin lymphoma
1 June 2026 - Bristol Myers Squibb today announced that the European Commission has approved Opdivo (nivolumab) in combination with doxorubicin, vinblastine and dacarbazine (AVD) for the treatment of adult and adolescent patients 12 years of age and older with previously untreated stage III or IV classical Hodgkin's lymphoma.
This approval marks a significant milestone, establishing the Opdivo plus AVD combination as the first immunotherapy-based regimen available in the European Union for newly diagnosed advanced classical Hodgkin's lymphoma.
