5 April 2022 - Opdivo plus Yervoy is one of two newly approved Opdivo based treatment regimens to demonstrate superior overall survival compared to chemotherapy alone in this patient population.

Bristol Myers Squibb today announced that the European Commission has approved Opdivo (nivolumab) in combination with Yervoy (ipilimumab) for the first-line treatment of adult patients with unresectable advanced, recurrent or metastatic oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) with tumour cell PD-L1 expression ≥ 1%.
