Budget October 2022–23: strengthening Medicare

25 October 2022 - The Australian Government’s 2022-23 Budget begins the task of strengthening Medicare after a decade of cuts and neglect.

Overall spending on health ($104.1 billion), aged care ($30.6 billion) and sport ($633.5 million) is $135.3 billion – up 5.7% on last year.
