CADTH is hosting a series of lectures by prominent scholars and opinion leaders to share their perspectives on some of the most pressing issues facing health technology assessment (HTA) and health care today.
As we continue our series into 2015, we invite you to join us for the next talk, featuring Jeffrey Hoch, PhD, Director, Centre for Leadership and Excellence in Economic Analysis and Research (CLEAR), Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael's Hospital.
More than 20 years after it was first published, Bernie O’Brien et al’s seminal paper In Search of Power and Significance: Issues in the Design and Analysis of Stochastic Cost-Effectiveness Studies in Health Care continues to influence the field of health economics. Today, the paper is recognized as an important foundation for modern methods of characterizing uncertainty in economic evaluation. To mark the anniversary of Prof. O’Brien’s passing, Dr. Jeffrey Hoch will demonstrate their continued relevance of a remarkable paper by a remarkable man.
The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. EDT on February 10, 2015 in Ottawa and online via webinar.
