Change to PBS Closing the Gap program sees Aboriginal patients inadvertently charged more for medication

7 July 2021 - On NAIDOC week, some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients have been forced to pay more for medication after being caught up in a change to the PBS.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia said a change to the program this week had caught medical professionals, pharmacists and patients off-guard and inadvertently led to higher prices for First Nations people.
