Changes to dispensing frequency rules and ‘stat’ medicines list
2 March 2020 - PHARMAC is seeking feedback on a proposal about the frequency of dispensing of pharmaceuticals in the community.
We are proposing to amend the dispensing frequency rules and expand the list of pharmaceuticals that can be dispensed in a single lot, with effect from 1 May 2020.
The purpose of the proposed changes is to enable greater flexibility in tailoring medicine supply to the needs of patients.
