30 April 2019 - The July 2018 PBAC recommendations under the proton pump inhibitor utilisation review included restriction level changes for the following PBS listed medicines from 1 May 2019:

• Esomeprazole 40 mg with one repeat will change from Restricted Benefit to Authority Required (Telephone).
• All standard dose proton pump inhibitors (esomeprazole 20 mg, lansoprazole 30 mg, omeprazole 20 mg, pantoprazole 40 mg, rabeprazole 20 mg) will change from Restricted Benefit to Authority Required (STREAMLINED).
