Changes to the National Immunisation Schedule - meningococcal C conjugate vaccine
12 June 2017 - PHARMAC is pleased to announce a decision related to the National Immunisation Schedule (NIS) that will take effect from 1 July 2017.
The decision is as consulted on, excepting an additional correction to the chemical name of the Menactra vaccine, and will result in the following from 1 July 2017:
- Pfizer’s meningococcal C conjugate vaccine (Neisvac-C) will remain listed on the National Immunisation Schedule.
- Sole Supply Status will apply in the community and DHB hospitals until 30 June 2020.
- The 10 injection pack presentation of Neisvac-C will be delisted.
- The chemical names for Neisvac-C and Menactra in the Pharmaceutical Schedule will be corrected from conjugated to conjugate.
