Changes to vaccine rollout redirect doses unused by younger people to over 50s

19 April 2021 - National Cabinet will hear a proposal for unused AstraZeneca vaccine doses to be redirected to Australians over 50 years old.

Available doses of AstraZeneca vaccine no longer recommended for younger Australians will be redirected to people over the age of 50 sooner, but not at the expense of protecting the more vulnerable elderly first.
