Cholesterol drugs offer fresh hope in fight against Alzheimer's disease

13 December 2016 - Cholesterol-lowering drugs taken by millions of Australians might protect against Alzheimer's disease, a large study suggests.

A new analysis of 400,000 Americans who took statins during a two-year period found that for most people, the higher their use, the lower their risk of Alzheimer's disease over the following five years.
