8 June 2023 - Paying for health care is a challenge for many Americans, but the House of Representatives is on the verge of passing a bill that will block a key tool that can be used to help improve affordability of prescription drugs and other health care services. 

The Protecting Health Care for All Patients Act (HR 485) is heading toward a floor vote after a party-line vote by the Energy and Commerce Committee; the bill also has the support of top Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee.
