COVID-19: Private health funds dump April 1 premium rises, suspend policies

26 March 2020 - Health funds have started cancelling the April 1 price rises giving Australians immediate price relief on their policies.

The first fund in Australia to announce they had dumped upcoming price rises is Perth-based fund HBF.

The fund has 1 million members nationally and was due to implement average price increases of 1.98% to its members’ policies - the lowest rise of any funds in the country this year.
