9 March 2023 - To 5 March 2023, over 44 million doses have been administered in Australia, as well as about 233,000 doses of the bivalent booster vaccine.

The TGA has recently approved a bivalent Original/Omicron BA.4-5 vaccine as a booster dose for individuals aged 12 years and older. The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) are reviewing the vaccine and will provide advice to the Government on its use in the coming weeks.
