COVID-19 vaccine weekly safety report (26 August 2021)
26 August 2021 - To 22 August 2021, approximately 17.1 million vaccine doses have been given in Australia – 10.9 million first doses and 6.2 million second doses.
In the last week, an additional 8 reports of blood clots and low blood platelets have been assessed as confirmed or probable thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome. None of these cases were fatal.
