3 June 2021 - Eight additional cases of blood clots with low blood platelets have been assessed as thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome likely to be linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine. 

When assessed using the United Kingdom case definition, four cases are confirmed and four are deemed probable thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome. 

This brings the total number of confirmed and probable cases of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome in Australia to 41.
