10 March 2021 - Data on real-world use of COVID-19 vaccines approved in Australia provides reassurance about their safety in older people. There is also encouraging new data on the effectiveness of the vaccines in older people.
So far, more than 300 million people have received these vaccines worldwide.Reported suspected side effects have been consistent with those observed during clinical trials.
