Crohn’s disease sufferers get life-changing medication cheaper after Stelara is listed on the PBS

29 August 2017 - It’s the disease that is thought to affect 38,000 Aussies.

And now those that are worst hit with severe Crohn’s disease will soon get some relief with a life-changing drug to be subsidised by the government from Wednesday.

A total of 2583 Australians will benefit from the listing of Stelara on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, reducing their treatment burden from $68,651 a year to just $232.80 a year or $37.80 with a concession card based on six scripts annually.
