Cystic fibrosis: NHS patients in England to get life-transforming drugs 'within weeks'

The NHS is “on the verge” of giving the green light to life-transforming drugs to thousands of cystic fibrosis patients in England, its chief executive said last night.
Simon Stevens told MPs on the Health Select Committee that negotiations between NHS England and the drug company, Vertex, had intensified and he was “increasingly confident” that a deal would be announced within the next month.
