Democrats, recycling old ideas, call for a federal ‘enforcer’ to tackle drug price gouging

24 July 2017 - Seeking to gain momentum on a populist issue, congressional Democrats on Monday released a blueprint for lowering prescription drug prices, although the proposed ideas have been circulating for some time.

As part of a new campaign called “A Better Deal,” the Democrats maintain their plan “will re-write the rules, so the federal government is on the side of consumers and middle-class families.”
