Device vital for monitoring diabetes should be funded 'immediately'
23 November 2020 - Ben Hoy and Anne Marie Guiney would not be able to cope with having two type 1 diabetes children without a life-saving technology that PHARMAC will not fund.
Their daughters Olivia, 3, and Georgia, 6, were diagnosed in the last year and could not lead a normal life without their flash glucose monitoring device, coupled with an app which alerts their parents’ phones if their levels are getting low.
