20 July 2017 - Donald Trump was to hold a war party of Republican senators early today in a last-ditch bid to revive his months-long effort to dismantle his predecessor’s landmark health care law.

The US President invited all Republican senators for lunch at the White House to discuss a path forward on the health bill and other priorities, an administration official said last night.

“There is movement on healthcare,” the official said without elaboration.

Mr Trump said on Twitter late last night that Republican senators “MUST keep their promise to America!”.
