Efficient RCTs with real world data for benefit assessments: accelerating evidence-based care
2 March 2023 - Together with colleagues from the Belgian HTA agency KCE, three employees of IQWiG in the BMJ are promoting efficiently planned and implemented RCTs, even on supposedly difficult terrain.
Due to the acceleration of drug approval, more and more active ingredients are coming onto the market on a meagre basis of study data. According to a mantra of recent years, further data can then be obtained during use – as so-called real world data.
