22 June 2020 - Senior officials from the European Commission, EMA and the United States FDA held their 2020 bilateral regulatory dialogue meeting on 18 and 19 June.
During this virtual two day meeting, the authorities reviewed their ongoing joint initiatives, discussed strategic priorities for the coming years and identified areas where their already close collaboration can be further strengthened.
The collaboration between EMA and FDA formally started in 2003 and the two agencies have now almost daily interactions, most of them structured around working groups called 'clusters', some of which include contacts with other international regulators, with the aim to better align, and advance scientific and regulatory excellence worldwide.
