European drug agency loses 30% of staff in planned move to Amsterdam
16 August 2018 - The EMA is counting the cost of the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, which is forcing the agency to relocate to Amsterdam.
More staff than expected have left the EMA, and Dutch employment rules mean that 135 short term contract staff will no longer be able to work for the agency when it moves in March 2019.
Overall, the EMA expects to lose about 30% of its staff.
