First new kidney treatment in 20 years delays dialysis and transplant
31 August 2022 - Kidney disease is Australia’s silent killer, with nine in 10 patients unaware they have it until too late, but here’s a breakthrough new treatment.
People with chronic kidney disease will benefit from the first new treatment for the condition in 20 years when the drug Forxiga is subsidised from September 1.
