We’ve reached a new low when hedge funds are buying existing medicines and jacking up the prices just because they can. Lately, these greedy financiers seem to be profiting more and more off the backs of scientific innovators and the hundreds of thousands of Americans who rely on these medicines to stay healthy.

President Trump and others have rightly demanded an end to this price gouging by Wall Street speculators and pharmaceutical industry profiteers -- American families and seniors agree. A recent AARP poll showed that 81% of seniors believe prescription drug prices are too high, while a Kaiser Family Foundation survey revealed 77% of Americans find drug prices unreasonable.
