Former bowel cancer patient calls for NZ to fund drug she says saved her life
26 January 2022 - A woman with bowel cancer who was told she may have two years to live says an unfunded drug has left her feeling “better than ever”.
Mandy Grantley, who lives in Auckland’s New Windsor, was diagnosed with bowel cancer on the day of her mother’s funeral in 2018. She had chemotherapy and went into remission, but in April 2020, the cancer returned.
