29 October 2019 - Private health insurer NIB wants to increase incentives for "good behaviour" like exercising or being a non-smoker as it moves closer to predicting members' health risks by analysing their medical and claims history.
NIB is also looking at ways to address a "major pain point" for members - high out-of-pocket costs for some surgical procedures - and will on Tuesday announce it is trialling a new model for knee and hip replacement surgery.
