Getting effective cancer drugs to patients faster

The Telegraph

18 May 2016 - The NHS and NICE are absolutely committed to ensuring people with cancer in England have access to effective treatments.

The Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF) has helped thousands of people, which is why we have acted on feedback from the cancer care community and others, including parliamentarians, to ensure it is put on a sustainable financial footing.

The new CDF aims to help patients receive new treatments with genuine promise, while evidence is collected on how they work. This will help determine whether the treatment should be accepted for routine use.
