Government pharmacy shake-up set to hit Australians’ hip pockets

 3 July 2017 - A federal government plan could see some medicine prices soar by more than $8 per prescription at discount chemists.

The government is considering implementing a set price for medicines listed on the PBS, following recommendations from an independent report into the industry.

The report found prices could vary up to 200% between pharmacies.
