Hope for regenerative medicine bonanza

30 October 2018 - Regenerative medicine could be worth $6 billion in annual revenue and 6,000 new jobs for Australia by 2035, a new report reveals, with predictions the country could become a regional hub in this field in the Asia-Pacific region.

The report by MTPConnect, the Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Industry Growth Centre, will be released today to provide a road map for elevating the sector to successfully compete at a global level.

MTPConnect chief executive Dan Grant said Australia invested early in regenerative medicine, which he said had given the country a strong platform to build from.
