In a sweeping executive order, Biden endorses importing drugs from Canada and orders a bigger drug pricing plan by late August
9 July 2021 - President Biden on Friday will take aim at the pharmaceutical industry by ordering his administration to advance several vague policies that clearly take aim at drug makers: targeting high drug prices and importing drugs from Canada.
The new policies, which will be advanced via an executive order, are some of Biden’s first tangible steps on prescription drug pricing, an issue he has largely sidestepped so far in his presidency, or which has been mired in court delays.
