Indigenous Australians are skeptical about COVID-19 vaccines, and they’re hard to reach

27 March 2021 - Nearly 150,000 Aboriginal people live in remote areas of the country where severe health problems are common and medical care is limited.

To reach indigenous clans in northern Australia, vaccinators must navigate monsoon rains that can ground aircraft and waterways infested with crocodiles. 

Once they reach communities, they face another tough challenge in convincing those groups to accept the shots.
