Injectafer approved in the US for the treatment of iron deficiency in adult patients with heart failure
5 June 2023 - Injectafer is now the first and only intravenous iron replacement therapy indicated for adult patients with heart failure who have iron deficiency.
Daiichi Sankyo and American Regent today announced that the US FDA approved Injectafer (ferric carboxymaltose injection) for the treatment of iron deficiency in adult patients with heart failure categorised as New York Heart Association class II/III to improve exercise capacity.
