IQWiG publishes a new version of its general methods
5 November 2020 - New features include the investigation of volume-outcome relationships and different mean observation times in clinical studies.
The Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) has revised its method paper and published it today in the version “General Methods 6.0” on the website www.iqwig.de.
The document is now the basis for the scientific work of the institute and its external experts as well as for the cooperation with the clients.
Among other things, statements on the investigation of the relationship between the amount of service and quality, a section on different treatment durations in studies and a specification for the assessment of clinical relevance are new.
