30 December 2022 - HIRA has decided to leave Australia as a reference country when it sets drug prices next year. HIRA disclosed this through its "detailed evaluation criteria for drugs subject to negotiation," released Wednesday.
The evaluation criteria include the contents related to drugs exempted from economic evaluation announced by the HIRA in August and the expansion of drug price reference countries announced in November.
According to the revised detailed evaluation criteria, HIRA included Canada among the countries it will review when calculating the foreign average drug price.
