Labour's promised PHARMAC boost 'not enough'

30 September 2020 - Palmerston North cancer patient Lydia Pei looks likely to have to depend on the community, not the Government, to pay for the life-extending drug Stivarga.

The Labour Party has pledged to boost drug-buying agency PHARMAC’s budget by $200 million over four years to increase access to presently unfunded medicines.

Pei said she was “grateful and disappointed at the same time” by the increase.
