Lockdown in Melbourne prevents Invercargill woman from receiving cancer treatment

30 July 2020 - Melbourne’s lockdown is preventing an Invercargill woman from travelling there for cancer treatment.

Alana Lockhorst was scheduled for treatment this week at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

The centre has given her a new appointment for August 27 but Lockhorst says that won’t go ahead with COVID-19 still spreading in Melbourne and Air New Zealand not taking passengers to Australia until August 28.
