27 August 2024 - The federal government has secured 22 million bags of IV fluids amid a major supply shortage of the vital saline products.

Baxter, Australia’s only onshore IV fluid manufacturer, will also expand its western Sydney manufacturing plant “so that more IV fluid bags can be made­ ­locally”, the Health Department said.
