17 March 2022 - Private health insurers say consumers will miss out on big savings on their premiums because the price of medical devices will remain higher in the private system than the public.

Health Minister Greg Hunt struck a deal with medical device manufacturers to bring down the price of prostheses by an average of 10%, which will save families up to $50 a year on their private health premiums.
