Medicines scheme overhaul raises health concerns

6 May 2014 - A health economist says the Commission of Audit's proposal of a cap for the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme could drastically reduce costs, but drug companies have warned it's the sick who will miss out. There's also widespread concern that increasing patient co-payments for drugs will discourage people from taking the medicines they should.
