Migraine sufferers devastated drug won't be listed on PBS

28 October 2019 - The migraine drug Aimovig costs patients around $800 a month, and it's estimated that listing it on the PBS would cost the budget $100 million during the first six years.

The drug's been rejected twice already by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, and drug company Novartis has now decided to withdraw its application.

Migraine Australia is a patient advocacy group. Raphaella Crosby is the Chair of its organising committee, and has been using the drug since March this year.
