More measures are needed to curb the development cost of pharmaceuticals
16 June 2023 - There are more and more new drugs, and more people are receiving treatment for their illnesses. At the same time, costs continue to rise for the ninth year in a row, and in 2022, drug costs within the benefit increased by 7% to SEK 35.7 billion.
In a report to Government, the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency, TLV, presents several proposals aimed at ensuring a reasonable cost for medicines.
