My brother is dying while there's a drug that could stop this
26 September 2022 - PHARMAC announced on Friday last week that Trikafta, a potentially life-saving drug for those suffering with cystic fibrosis, would not be funded in New Zealand, unless further government funding was provided.
My younger brother Timothy was born with cystic fibrosis, a chronic life-threatening and life-shortening illness that damages the lungs and digestive system. It is the most common life-threatening genetic condition affecting children in New Zealand.
